Andrea M. Kirsh is Of Counsel in the Perez Morris Columbus office, specializing in corporate law with a focus on transactional matters, software licensing, and complex procurement agreements. With significant in-house experience in three corporate legal departments, Andrea provides legal guidance that supports effective business decisions.

She previously served as Associate General Counsel at American Electric Power (AEP). In this role, she was instrumental in supporting the Procurement Department by managing software licensing and overseeing complex transactions related to the purchase and sale of various services and products. She negotiated multi-million-dollar agreements, including significant outsourcing contracts, and provided legal guidance on compliance and governance issues. Andrea’s efforts resulted in substantial annual savings for AEP, showcasing her skill in aligning legal strategy with business goals.

Andrea is an Advisory Board Member of the local chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and previously served as President and Board Member. She also served on the Board of Trustees for New Directions and Alvis.

From a young age, Andrea aspired to be an attorney, initially studying political science before shifting to theater at Ohio State University and eventually earning a degree in education from Temple University. After teaching for a year, she returned to her passion for law. Andrea is proud to give legal advice that helps her partners make informed choices. She is known for being calm, thorough, and practical.

Outside of work, Andrea and her husband, Tom, enjoy spending time with friends and family in Columbus and southwest Florida. They also enjoy traveling to national parks and exploring sites across the country.
